What's in your Poq app: Comprehensive features list

Use this resource to find the correct name, definition and way of editing any feature in your Poq app.

The features are divided by the context, or part of the customer's shopping journey through your app:

  • Content - Features relating to content that you can add into your app. This includes banners, stories, look-books and other content that can enhance your customers' experience of using your app.

  • Catalogue - Features relating to your products and categories.

  • Checkout - Features connected to the purchasing or saving products. This includes the Cart and Wishlist screens.

  • Navigation - The components and features that allow customers to navigate through your app.

  • Marketing - Features that enable marketing and communication campaigns, including push notifications, analytics and dynamic links.

  • Add-ons - Features that can be added to your core app, like customer account settings.


These features are dedicated to the initiation phase of your app. they are seen by your customers at the moment they first start using the app, or when they are waiting for it to load. Some of them are features that you need to decide to enable before your app can go live, like the 3D touch feature, which allows additional interaction within the app.

StoriesA carousel of images that remain on screen for a set amount of time. Can be used to give your customers advice, promote or demonstrate new brands. Custom content pagesWritten content that can be added as individual screens in your app. Edited using a text editor. These features are all used to manage how your products are displayed to your customers. These features are at the heart of your customers' interaction with your products.

Text SearchSearches for keywords in title and brand. Recent searches, which can be cleared by the customer. Predicted searches in the form of suggested categories as you type. CategoriesCategories are how your products are organised. Categories can have multiple nested child categories, organised in either accordion or sliding menus. Header images can be customised.Product feedAccessed via the tab bar
Product listAn infinite scrolling list of products by category. Each product is displayed with a thumbnail image, title, price - including 'Was' and 'Now' offer prices - and wishlist heart icon. FiltersCustomers can filter the view of the products in a product list using: Pricing drag bar to limit price range of list, Category, Colour, and Size.-Product list screen
Product detailsDisplays all the relevant data about your product: a carousel of images which can be pinched to zoom, product video, product name, promotion label, size list, links (delivery, ingredients etc), share icon, was price, current price, and a description. Colour swatchThe colour swatch appears on the product details screen. Groups products by colour. Displays thumbnail image when a colour is chosen, showing that product in a specific colour.Product feedProduct details screen (PDP)
Product recommendations carouselShows recently viewed products in an image carousel below the fold on the Product details screen. Customers can see more details via Peek and Pop navigation, or by tapping a 'View More' option. View more activates a product list screen with products from the carousel taking up the first ten spaces.-Product details screen (PDP)


These features are connected to the checkout process in your app. It covers your customer's journey after choosing a product, adding it to their cart or wishlist or completing a purchase at the checkout.

Web checkoutA webview of a payment screen from your website that allows customers to pay for their shopping. Connected via a JS Payment bridge to allow contact between your app and your payment service provider. The web checkout is initiated using the cart transfer. All of these features affect the way your customers navigate your app. An integral part of the Poq design system, they represent the most natural way of getting from screen to screen, so your customers can easily find their way around.

Peek and popup videoIf 3D touch is enabled in your app, your customer can force touch (tap and hold-down) a product in the PLP and a video plays in a pop-up screen. LoginWhen your customers need to login to their account, the login screen features a header image which you can edit. Your app also supports persisted login, so your customers do not need to enter their registration details every time they log in.--

Your customer can use images on their device as the basis of a visual search of your catalogue. This is enabled via an approved Poq partner, who require access to your product feed in order to supply search results.
