Manage physical store details in your app

You can add information about your physical stores in your Poq app. This means your customers can easily find you in the high street, and find the nearest place that offers collection for products bought in your app.

There are two ways you can include store information in your app. You can either use the CMS to add and update stores, or you can create a feed file that updates on a regular basis.

Note If you use a feed to update your stores, any changes you make using the CMS will be overwritten on the next feed run.

This documentation is for managing stores using the CMS.

Latitude and longitude coordinates

You can add the latitude and longitude details of your store so it can be located on a map on their device.

There are several helpful websites where you can find the latitude and longitude of an address, including whatsmygps.com.

The website should provide you with the coordinates as decimal values of latitude and longitude.

For example, the Poq office decimal coordinates are:

Lat: 51.519643

Long: -0.0841096

Make a note of your store's decimal coordinates, they are used to locate it on a map.

Add information about a store to your app

You can add and update each store in turn. To add a new store:

  1. In the Poq CMS, navigate to the Stores section.
  2. Click Add new.
  3. Enter the details for your store:
    • Store name - Usually linked to the address. For example, Poq Store Oxford Street.
    • Address - First line of the address of the store.
    • City, county, postcode, country, phone - The rest of the address details of your store.
    • Latitude - The decimal latitude value of your store's coordinates.
    • Longitude - the decimal longitude value of your store's coordinates.
    • Order Tag Radius - Sets the store's beacon tag radius. Either leave this setting blank or talk to your contact at Poq if you think you need to use these radius tags.
    • Opening and closing times - The opening and closing times of your store for each day of the week.
  4. Click Save.

Edit details of a store

You can edit the details of a store, for example, the opening hours, as well as the order in which they appear in the app.

To edit the details of a store:

  1. In the Poq CMS, navigate to the Stores screen.
  2. Click on the name of the required store in the stores list.
  3. Edit the details you require.
  4. Click Save.

Change the order in which stores appear

You can control the order in which stores appear in your app. To change the order in which stores appear:

  1. In the Poq CMS, navigate to the Stores screen.
  2. Hover over the store you wish to move up or down the order until the cursor becomes a cross.
  3. Drag the store up or down the order list to the correct place.

You have changed the order of the stores in your app.

Delete a store from your app

  1. In the Poq CMS, navigate to the Stores screen.
  2. Click the X symbol on the line of your required store listing. A confirmation screen is displayed.
  3. Click Delete.

You have deleted a store from your app.
