Dynamic Content Builder

1. Dynamic Content Dashboard

1.1 Creating Content

Start your content creation journey by clicking the New Content CTA. This action will open the content-building functionality, enabling you to begin building content. Note: There is no draft feature; a page must be saved to become visible on the landing page.

1.2 List of Content

After creating and saving content, you can view the available content list displayed in a grid format. Each entry in the list showcases the content title, creation date, and last updated date.

1.3 Grid Sorting Functionality

Utilize the row headers to sort the list of pages:

  • Clicking on the page name arranges pages alphabetically.
  • Sorting by date created and last updated allows ordering content in ascending or descending order.

1.4 Search Functionality

Search for content by title using the search bar. As you type, the grid will dynamically refine, displaying content that aligns with the entered search term.

1.5 Edit Content

To edit content, click on the edit (pencil) icon next to each content entry in the grid. Reminder: There is no draft feature; content must be saved during the editing process.

1.6 Kebab Menu Actions

Access various actions through the kebab menu associated with each created page:

  • Copy Deep Links (Android & iOS)
  • Delete Content
  • Duplicate Content (duplicated content appears as a new entry in the grid)

2. Content Creation

2.1 Naming Your Content

Assign a name to your content using the Title field. This name is used for analytics and is displayed as the native page name in iOS and Android applications if accessed via a deep link.

2.2 Content Tagging

Enhance customization by tagging your content for segmentation. There are no preset functions associated with tagging. For advanced tagging options, contact Customer Success or submit a request via support.poqcommerce.com.

2.3 Deeplinking & In-App Preview

  • Use the iOS or Android slider to access the relevant deep link.
  • Copy the deep link to share externally or use a QR code for in-app preview.
  • To link your dynamic content page within your app, use the dynamic content dropdowns in App Manager or manually paste the deep link.
  • Important: The path (e.g., com.poq.poqdemoapp://) is not required when using the link field.
  • Recommendation: Preview content in-app before publishing, as the preview may differ from the final display.

2.4 Preview Functionality

  • Click the Components Tab to start building content.
  • Drag and drop components into the preview area.
  • Use the Sort Button to rearrange components.
  • Delete components as needed.

3. Component Configuration

3.1 Text Component

  • Drag the Text Component into your page.
  • Customize font style, alignment, and color using App Styler.
  • Adjust padding values.
  • Use the Custom Data field for advanced configurations.

3.2 Button Component

  • Drag the Button Component to create a button.
  • Set the button text and style it with primary/secondary colors from the App Styler.
  • Configure padding and use Custom Data for additional styling.

3.3 Image/GIF Component

  • Drag the Image/GIF Component into your content.
  • Supported file types: JPG, PNG, GIF.
  • Recommended width: 750px. Max file size: 7MB.
  • Configure tappable actions, Image ID (analytics), and Alt Text (accessibility).
  • Use Custom Data for advanced modifications.
  • Display a scrollable product category carousel.
  • Configure the carousel title and category ID (manual entry or selection).
  • Displays up to 30 products related to the configured category.
  • Supports linking to external sources such as Einstein (customization may be required).
  • Displays a scrollable list of recently viewed products (up to 30 items).
  • The carousel title is configurable.

3.6 Placeholder Component

  • Provides horizontal half-width spacing between other components.

3.7 Vertical Spacer Component

  • Adds vertical empty space between components.
  • Can only be placed vertically within the preview.

3.8 Video Component

  • Upload a video, choose from storage, or enter a video URL.
  • Recommended format: MP4 (compatible with most devices).
  • Hosting: Videos should be hosted via a CDN.
  • URL Format: Must start with https:// and end with a valid video extension (e.g., .mp4).

3.9 Custom Component

  • Allows for custom JSON-based content.
  • The Type field must begin with custom- and contain only lowercase letters and hyphens.
  • Add JSON content in the Content field.
  • Drag the Image Carousel Component onto the preview.
  • Customize the carousel title and padding.
  • Add carousel cards, upload images, and link them to a category ID.
  • Rearrange cards as needed.
